GUESS WHAT GUYS? I was (kind of) nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. (By kind of I mean The Immortals Series by Alyson Noel — a favorite book series/author of mine — nominated every one of her fans.) I’ve accepted.
But you won’t see me douse myself with water and make my nipples hard, oh no. Instead I am donating to the ALS Association, and bringing you some info about ALS.
“Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord”
“When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost.”
“Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year.”
“ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic or socioeconomic boundaries.”
Please check out this website for more info.
Also, I nominate ALL OF YOU to do the same.
