Mini-Post Monday: Break, Christmas, Book

It is Monday, right? I feel so out of it with the holidays and all. Plus I took a Xanax yesterday and slept the whole entire day away, so now I’m really out of it (it being whatever it is and Xanax. Boo).

Here we go.

mini post

If you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been around much lately. First I was sick and then it was Christmas and now I’m reading and working on my book. But I only have so much writing in me, so between writing to Nate and writing my book I don’t know how much I’ll blog. I want to blog, I just never seem to have anything to blog about anymore. So I don’t know if I’ll be on here much or not, I guess we’ll see. Either way I’ll still update you on Mondays and do Throwback Thursdays, so you’ll still be getting at least some posts. Hooray.

Christmas was pretty great, but now my house is a huge mess and I don’t have any more Xanax so I’m crawling out of my skin and don’t feel like cleaning it. I did manage to take the ornaments off the tree today, though, because I want that damn space back.

Writing a book is hard fucking work. I’ve been working on mine for the past few days and have two whole pages. I think I might post them just to see if you guys think it’s even worth continuing. My problem is with my memory — I don’t have any good stories, just snippets of stories. Like, instead of telling you all about the first time I did acid, I can just tell you that I did acid a whole lot. Which probably contributed to my memory problems.

  1. Books are hard and such a process, but you’ll get there — I’m telling that to myself as much as you. I also understand only having so much writing in you. It’s hard. I just do my best to write every day — something. As far as your blog, I’m impressed by how much material you’ve churned out in such a short time. If you want to keep it going, you could always recycle posts — like maybe pick one day a week to showcase a favorite post. Just a thought. Best of luck with your writing, whatever form that may be.

  2. Thats awesome that you’re writing a book! They take forever but I really think it’s worth it in the end! I always think about writing one…but that’s pretty much as far as it goes. I know what you mean about not having much to blog about anymore. I think I may be in the same boat. Anyhow, looking forward to your mondays and throwback thursdays!

  3. “Writing a book is hard fucking work.” IT IS!!!!!!! I like Grief Happens suggestions of recycling some of your older fave posts to take off some pressure yet keep you in the loop. I might try that one myself! ;)
